Used parking app - paid for wrong car

Hi,
Apologies, I couldn't find a scenario like this in the threads.
I used the Apcoa parking app to pay for parking in a railway carpark.
Unfortunately I paid against the wrong registration number and came back to a PCN.
I appealed to Apcoa explaing what I had done, but although they confirm I paid to park, because it was the wrong registration, and it is the user's responsibility to make sure they pay for the right car and duration, they rejected the appeal.
In this circumstance is it worth me taking it any further?
I know the error was mine, my argument is simply that I did pay to park but made a mistake on the app.
thanks for any response.

You don't need to find your "scenario"!
Read up in the Newbies FAQ thread on station land. You will see they have just 6 months to proceed to court (mags!) and are unlikely to!

You really mucked up that appeal by effectively saying who was driving. Why do people do this then come here afterwards?
APCOA are 100% beatable at POPLA, by someone who has not blabbed about who was driving.
Still fairly easy to beat otherwise but you need to read the 3rd post of the NEWBIES thread and any other recent APCOA byelaws POPLA appeal you search for & read.
Unless you want to lose at POPLA (and BTW, so what if you do, no-one PAYS APCOA!) it will NOT be about telling POPLA about the mistake!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
