Switch energy supplier now Spark Energy has ceased trading?
This one's for my daughter.
They have just moved into a flat with electricity supplied by Spark.
Gas with a different supplier.
They were about to switch to Bulb, But Spark have told them they have ceased trading so do not switch at the moment but wait until they move her onto a new suppler.
Just wanted to know if this is the correct information off Spark?

Yes. Spark Energy Supply has ceased trading.
Ovo Energy has confirmed it has entered into a conditional agreement to buy the company and take on its customers. Ofgem said the energy supply for Spark's 290,000 customers would continue as normal.
