Will this be a write off? 2009 3 Series

Depends on the value of the car. We had a Fiesta written off about 15 years ago. Repairs came to 62% of the value of the car which was borderline but they gave us the choice. Anything greater than that I suspect they will write it off0

They base the write-off decision on the value of car minus salvage auction sale price, minus the likely cost of repair with a bit of contingency, minus predicted hire car costs while it's being repaired...
If the pillar has been bent, they probably won't bother jigging it - straight to Cat S.
If the pillar's fine, then it'll probably be repaired, but if the door shells are bent, rather than just requiring skins, then that might tip it into Cat N.
Cat N, I'd seriously consider buying back and putting second-hand doors on. Cat S, I wouldn't bother.0 -
AGEAS paid out on a third party claim for me recently, and I was advised before even getting quotes that their cut off was 50% of the value. Might be worth asking Admiral what their threshold is?0
