That is one of the issues, but not the only one. It does imply that we've paid a lot less for the house than what we've told people, which doesn't put us in a good light.

Realistically though who's going to be looking at the listing?! And without meaning to sound rude, why would anyone care what you paid? If anyone is genuinely interested in the difference in price you can just explain. Although frankly it's no-one else's business what you did or didn't pay...
