There was a thread a good while back, about installing dashcams.
One of the posters linked to a power supply, fitted with two USB sockets, which you install under the dashboard.
I've tried searching, but I can't find the right thread.
Does anyone have a link to either the thread, or the power supply?
I seem to remember the items was on Amazon.

Generally you can just get a hardwire kit that goes from the dash cam to a piggyback fuse.
Like this SHISHUO Dash Cam Hardwire Kit - Mini USB and Micro USB Port 3.5m Cable with LP Mini/Mini/ATO/Micro2 Fuse, 12V to 24V Input, 5V Output for Dash Cam GPS Sat-Nav with Battery Drain Protection https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07F71RBR8/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_xaz-BbQXQM39K0 -

Mine has a 12v socket under the glove compartment that I connect my dash cam to via a double USB charge port, similar to this - http://amzn.eu/d/fbo5GOV0 -

Lots of options on ebay, example above. Search for 12v to 5v usb.0 -
That's the kind of thing I'm looking for Norman, thanks. :T
What I want to do is wire my two dash-cams to a permanent live supply (my cigarette light socket is switched vie the ignition switch), through a console mounted switch, so I can have the dash-cams operating while parked in a car park.
It'll also free up my cigarette lighter socket, so I can use it for my Sat-nav.
I've tried using one of those twin adaptors, but it keeps creeping out of the lighter socket, and turning off the dash-cams and sat-nav. :mad:0 -

I've ordered one of those PSUs linked to by Norman Castle, and some piggyback fuse holders.
All I need to do now, is find somewhere to install a switch to power the PSU on and off.
Does anyone know if there are any spare switch locations, on a mk7 Fiesta?0 -
