Is anybody having problems with their virgin broadband connection over the last couple of days? Both my mac and pc have been very very slow to get access. I can't find any problems with the computers or wireless network! It's so frustrating!

Checked with a couple of friends for you and their connections have been ok! Any chance you have another router you could try..? Could be the modem dying?....0

The router seems ok it all quite new. The connection speed on my laptop says connection excellent or very good, and speed 54 mbs but still both taking ages to open any website.0

Actually, both seem back to normal this morning. I'll see what happens tonight, because this is what has been happening for the last couple of days!0

Sounds like they have oversubscribed in your area so it slows down when it gets busy!! Haven't had that problem here, but it reminds me of the good old day of dial-up!!

Last night it was much slower than dial up. I thought it was my lap top which nearly went through the window! But when I tried the mac it was just the same.0

I have just switched to TalkTalk from Virgin. With Virgin, come 4pm in the day everything started to slow down, it was a daily occurrence. Since being with TalkTalk, I've found everything is much faster at any of the times I've used it.
I used to say, jokingly, that the problem was all the schoolkids getting home and going on the internet. Considering what grae-uk says about over-subscription, maybe that's what it was.0 -
i am with virgin also, and same problem. It is the stupid fair policy ruling, they throttle the bandwidth on everyone during a set time.
But have also noticed i am unable to connect around 12am most nights for past cpl of weeks, only lasts for about 30 minutes or so, but is so annoyingMansion TV. Avoid at all cost's :j0 -
Since Virgin took over the service has got worse. Every evening the internet slows down due to their traffic management policies. It's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die0
