Tax credits and repeated sickness

Hi
I am about to return to work after being off for about 12 weeks. I have continued to receive tax credits as I haven't reached the 28 week cut off. How long after I return will I 're-qualify' for another (up to) 28 weeks if I go off sick again? I think I have to be back for 2 weeks before the counter is set back to zero but I have no idea where I got this from and can't find the rule online. I have a chronic illness and I am struggling to stay in work.
Thanks
Sam

It's more to do with Statutory Sick Pay?(SSP)

This would link to the earlier SSP claim if you fall sick again within 8 weeks, so after 8 weeks you would start the 28 week SSP entitlement clock again and it follows that the same Tax Credits entitlement would follow for the full 28 weeks.

Thanks. Do you know if this the same if I have been receiving employer full sick pay?

Yes as full pay will have included SSP as well.
