With regard to the Post Office Credit Card for use overseas, I would like to say that we took one out this year solely for use in South Africa as we visit our son there every year. Last year (and for the previous seven years) we have been paying around £80 in fees to NatWest for using a debit card at the ATMs. This, in addition to using their credit card!
Earlier this year we used the Post Office Credit card and by loading it with cash before we went to South Africa we did not incur any charges and had a good exchange rate from the ATMs. We have left a small amount of credit on the card and will top it up again before we go next March. The Post Office card has really helped us to have more spending money by not having to pay exhorbitant charges! It is to be recommended.:j
