Universal credit migration

As I understand it our tax credits claim will be due to migrate to UC sometime next year (unless an unforeseen major change occurs-none on the horizon lol).
However we have 3 children and UC appears to only allow claims for 2 children?
So what happens, will we stay on tax credits till our eldest finishes non advanced education? She is currently doing her GCSEs and hopes to do A-levels so 3 years or so.
Or do we loose out as soon as we move, or perhaps some kind o transitional protection is available?
Thanks

The time frame for managed migration is still somewhat 'up in the air' so until you are asked to apply you will remain on tax credits under their rules.
There will be transitional protection when managed migration takes place.
Have a read of this:

Even if you had a change of circumstances which would trigger a move to Universal Credit under natural migration (with no transitional protection) because you have 3 dependent children this would not apply to you.0 -
current migration triggers are here...

It reads as start from beginning when you were diagnosed and go through the difficulty in re entering all evidence you collected since day1.
At least I'll attempt the online part myself.
Though your kind url is very much appreciated.
