Changing electricity supplier, with a twist
Hi gang,
I'm currently on pre-pay key meter* with EDF, but would like to be on a smart meter.
I've contacted EDF to make this request, but get constantly told (for 5 months,) "We have no teams working in your area at present."
Is it possible to change suppliers, in order to get this expedited? I've no inclination to stay with EDF after the poor response to my request.
Thanks in advance for any advice.
* I changed my house to the key meter when I let it out for a number of years, while I lived abroad,

You can certainly switch supplier. Whether it will expedite your wish for a smart meter I cannot say; I would suggest you discuss this with the new supplier of your choice0 -

If you are overpaying for your energy with pre-pay, or don't want the hassle involved, then have you considered the first step of getting the meter changed to a standard credit meter? You never know, EDF might just install a smart one."In the future, everyone will be rich for 15 minutes"0 -
Thanks both. Just fishing for advice and opinion at present, all advice is welcomed.“If you trust in yourself, and believe in your dreams, and follow your star. . . you'll still get beaten by people who spent their time working hard and learning things and who weren't so lazy.”0
