  • My last bottle last six years and it was opened, used, closed, forgotten about, reopened...

Do you mean Warninks Advocaat? lol

It should be fine after just a year but you'll know if it's off. When I make snowballs, I don't use lime, just 1/3 advocaat to 2/3 lemonade in a tall hiball glass, and a cocktail cherry if you have any. Hmmmm I want one now lol

I used to order alcohol for a cash and carry. Other than at Christmastime, they barely sold and even then we didn't sell many. I'm quite sure that they have no BB or manufacturer's date on even now, so your bottles 'twin' could still be sat on a shop shelf somewhere. As it's unopened, I would drink it.
  • I have 3 bottles of locally brewed craft beer in the fridge which is almost 2 years old. There's no BBF date on them.

Is it still drinkable or can it be used for cooking?

The beer is probably flat now. That doesn,t mean it can't be used in casserole cooking but you need to taste it first.
Personally by this stage I'd now keep it and use it as a slug deterrent in saucers near my hostas and other slug susceptible plants in the spring.

    Thanks Primrose.

Just thought... it might be good for feeding houseplants, roses, etc.
