  • Morning ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one. Holly, Hester, CHS and TA are in my thoughts just now.

Well the market yesterday was a fiasco, the room was very small had 8 tables crammed in, when the parents eventually came in there was a traffic jam, kids eating fairy cakes and touching stuff with sticky fingers. we spent the whole time just watching what was going on, people looked and then walked on, we did sell something eventually and had £12.50 after we paid for the table. Neither of us was happy, OH wanted to pack up the stall and come home, but I insisted we stay till 4pm as we would not have sold anything.

No more fairs or markets for us. I am going to photograph the stuff I have left and put it on line, if it does not sell people will get it as presents. I am just going to make things to order from now on. We were both crackered when we got home, thankfully I slept ok last night.

Its another dull day here, I see the forecast is for bad weather in the south and north, for now we seem to escaping.

Mince and tatties for supper, banana something for dessert.

    Morning everyone

Hester - it's sounding like you could be in for a bit of hassle from your tenant. If you haven't already I'd see if you can get some legal advice fairly promptly, the rules for let properties have all changed and because of the awful homeless situation the local authorities are being quite harsh with landlords when the tenants start reporting to them as being made homeless by their landlord.

Hopefully you can get some sort of resolution that is acceptable to everyone.

    Keep safe and well x

Hester, are your tenants related to Donald Trump? They seem to be a bit economical with the truth but even if they are close to that figure more fool them.

Well, the visit to the clinical nurse wasn't quite as anticipated. they took Steve's bloods and when the results came back made an appointment for him to see the consultant on Monday with a view to starting treatment. We're trying not to get ahead of ourselves though because it may well be the consultant will decide to wait a bit longer, we'll see.

We were supposed to be going to the Wirral tomorrow but of course now our plans have changed, never mind it will give me time to sort things out here.

    Good afternoon all,

I didn't fall asleep until after 3am so I made breakfast for the HT at 7am then went back to bed for a couple of hours. Since I hauled myself out of bed for the second time, I've two loads of washing done (one has been dried, the second is in the dryer - I'm too tired to mess about trying to dry it outside and besides, some of it is the HT's uniform). I've cleaned the kitchen and decluttered all the junk that seems to just get left lying about. Everything has either been put away or binned. I forgot to buy bread for me yesterday but I'll make some when I've finished writing this so not a problem.

Speky, I think you need to go back and thank the young lady. Maybe call first and find out who dealt with your query and ask when her next shift is as you want to thank her personally.

Nelski I wish I lived closer - I'd take her for you. Stroppy parents always behave better for other people. Don't ask me how I know :D

Take care all of you :)
  • Hester I'd not manage to spend that much on decorating a bedroom in my own place, is your tenant interested in buying the place?

I've had a bath and a brief nap, OH woke me with a welcome cup of tea but it was so strong that I could feel my fillings vibrate. Drank it though.
I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back

Made it home in one piece. Did DM's shopping and my own. She wanted to stock up on loo paper (only got 4 packets of 9 rolls already), flour and kitchen paper. I got two YS chicken legs!

Yesterday when I was seasoning my evening meal I managed to tip over the salt pot into my food- had to chuck it out.

I'm now unpacked and got the chicken legs in the oven.

Hester - how can someone spend £7,000 decorating one room, and not even a living room? Whatever, it's not your problem. Some people do try to take the P.

Scarlet - DM won't really get any better, we are on a gentle slide though I really appreciate your thoughts.

Snoozer - at least the nurse is on the ball and being careful. Fingers are crossed for Steve.

I hope that everyone is doing well or getting better.

    Afternoon lovelies

A bit late to the party today, sorry.
I went to the Dr's yesterday and I have some medication, consequently I slept for 12hrs straight, without a break . I have to take the meds every day and then go back next Thursday. I think Dr was on the ball and I was worrying myself needlessly about it. I also had a conversation about Dad, the upshot is that he can get help but he needs to OK it. I shall have to have that conversation face to face tomorrow if he comes over for lunch. Then it will be his decision and the ball will be in his court.
Today I have stripped the bed, washed the bedding and done 2 more loads in the WM. Mr Fix It has been with DD collecting her new car. The salesman even did a ta-da ! reveal by putting a cover over it and whipping it off with a flourish......... now that's what I call service with a smile :D. ( Mr Fix It was able to film it on his phone )
I'm not intending to do anything more today except cooking tea, which will be sweet and sour sausages (I found some party sized sausages in the freezer) with egg fried rice. Mr Fix It bought us a double belgian chocolate sundae each from Sainsbobs when DD called in for petrol. So that's pudding sorted too :j.
Hester are your tenants having a laugh ? Who would spend so much in someone elses house ? BTW I could do a whole house up with £7 grand. Numpties
Nelski would you like some of my meds ready for Monday :rotfl:.
SilverOldie I hope your Mum was amenable today. Hugs to you.
Cranky take things easy and put your feet up. Would you like to take my Dad with you too ? :D
Candygirl ooooh :naughty: don't mention bananas to Nelski :rotfl: :rotfl:
Snoozer have a hug and a special one for Steve too. I know how hard these times are for you both.
Thinking of those who are struggling at present with illness or just daily life.
Take care all and the hug bucket is full, please take as many as you want/need.
    nan xx

Hester are you sure the tenants haven't added an extra zero onto the amount they reckon to have spent, just for good measure? I could decorate the bungalow twice over and still have money left from that amount!
