No, retailer has come back with 'unable to intervene now it has been passed to bwlegal'. They say I had lots of opportunities to sort this out so are unwilling to intervene.

Who is the retailer that said that as they are talking rubbish
  • beamerguy, it is a very well known fast food establishment. They also said I should have resolved it by paying up

    OMG that is terrible.

Nowhere on the fake PCN, or on any signs, does it tell people they can resolve the scam by complaint to the retailer (even though this is of course always the first thing to do).

So unless you put two and two together and realised that of course the retailer/landowner (always) has that power, how would you know?
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

    Thank you for your advice.
Just checking something I am getting more confused and stressed about the more I read.
A 'letter of claim' is not the same as a 'letter before claim' is that correct?
Some threads are saying that what they received next from bw were the court papers themselves and not a lbc. If you look up loc on google it comes up with info on lbc. My letter is the same the one sent to yorkshell back in Feb and they treated it as a lbc.
Now the retailer is not going to help, what will happen next if I ignore bw 'letter of claim' (I have sent the request to parking company)?

    No. It can be.

You will ALWAYS get a claim from BW Legal, regardless, so no need to focus on when.

Do it whenever you like, how does it matter?!

If stressed send it now but so what?

A claim will still come in January and you will be best placed to win by reading defences (never mind little old ''holding letters'').
