Anyone Waiting on Natwest Application?

I agree with ACG and as I posted earlier in this thread.
I’ve just got a client an offer from Nat West in 4 working days.
This was from application to offer including a valuation.
Something not quite right going on here. Yeah, my thoughts exactly. If he rang them up, surely NW would tell him what's holding the application up?
Does he have to cancel the Natwest application to apply for the Halifax mortgage?0 -
Glad to hear natwest are moving quickly. Why would my L&C broker have told me on Friday that they were taking 25 working days?!Total debt outstanding: Jan18 -£1813 / Feb18 -£1649 / Mar18 -£1278 / Apr18 -£999 / May18 -£632 / June18 -£316 / July18 £0
House Buy/Sell Fund: Jan18 £0 / Feb18 £184 / Mar18 £568 / Apr18 £936 / May18 £956 / June18 £1538 / Jul18 £2233 / Aug18 £27190 -
You will have to ask them.
Take a look here - http://www.intermediary.natwest.com (scroll down).
Even their quoted 11 or 13 days seems high compared to my experiences with them.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Got sorted in 3 days with Halifax.
MA went through underwriting with them on Monday. Offer issued subject to valuation - done yesterday.
Mortgage offer through today. Whoo hoo.
Guess Natwest didn't like the cut of my jib!!0 -
I have just come online to look for this thread just to say we had our offer issued with Natwest today also. I told our customers to expect the offer Thursday/Friday but I expected it today/tomorrow (under promise and all that).
Looks like Halifax were a little quicker but neither are 20+ days.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Hi, just read this thread and am wondering if it is acceptable to wait a month before doing my mortgage application. I have had an offer accepted, and had a DIP (dated last month). However my credit score has gone down quite a bit (-300 on Experian) since last month and I have 2 new negatives, and am hoping once its updated at the end of December it will have improved a bit. There are some things that I am going to do to try and boost it a bit before my application.... but is it acceptable to wait that long to do an application? I'm thinking just after Christmas/in the new year. I am a first time buyer so not used to procedure!0

I’m not sure the people you are buying from will be too happy to wait that long for you to apply for a mortgage.
Usually once you have made an offer you would pretty much immediately start the mortgage application process as the sellers would be expecting a valuation to be carried out by your lender within a week or two.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. We are currently going through a remortgage application with Natwest, valuation done but not had a mortgage offer yet. However we have been contacted by Enact the free legals service offered by Natwest to start providing information on the property.
Does Natwest instruct the free legals company even if they haven't decided to lend the money?0 -
Call Natwest to find out if it has been offered? When was the valuation carried out? Usually around 48 hours after that your offer would be issued.
You could also check here - https://personal.natwest.com/personal/mortgages/track-my-mortgage.html - if you know your application number. Ours are usualy around 8 digits and begin with the number 8 but if you applied directly yours may have a different number.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
