Anyone Waiting on Natwest Application?

Hi folks
Anyone waiting on a Natwest mortgage application?

I have been waiting for this past 2 weeks. Broker phoned them today and they still haven't sorted the valuation?

Broker reckons there's a backlog as everyone is trying to get applications sorted before Christmas. Natwest offering pretty god rate for 5 year fixed, and £500 cashback. No fee.

Should we just ditch Natwest and go for another lender as the lack of communication and movement is a bit concerning?

I submitted an application yesterday and received an email today
On behalf of NatWest, we will be carrying out a property valuation report on 26/11/2018.

We will let you know via email once this has been completed and sent to NatWest.

    Many Thanks

  • That was quick. Wonder what hold up is my end? Were looking to evaluate before end of last week, now all quiet.
Had an AIP with Halifax, wonder should I try them?
  • Cases with Nat West are flying through at the moment, I submitted an application for a client last Thursday, valuation was instructed Friday and carried out on Monday and then offer received at 9am Tuesday.

Is your mortgage amount under £500k? If so, Nat West usually instruct the valuation on the day after they receive the application and run the underwriting process in tandem.

Same here, cant believe how quickly its gone. If anything its me slowing the pro ess down as I struggle with their efficiency. They did a valuation within a week and confirmation of offer only two days later.

Sorry OP, you might be unlucky but it could be things are slower in NI. Am in England.

    Thats a big jump.
Speak to your broker to find out why there is such a delay. If they can not get to the bottom of it, then look at plan B but you may as well see i you can sort the issues out with NAtwest first.

  • Broker not too sure why such a delay either, few debits still coming out monthly maybe. Have said I can pay off the biggest one any time.

Trying Halifax now. Bit disappointing as NW had 500 cashback, no valuation fee etc.

It wont be the DDs that are holding the survey up I would not have thought.

Not to be rude, but give your broker a kick up the ****. "not too sure why the delay" is not really good enough. I would be on the phone to our account manager getting it sorted.
