Can I exchange money at a local post office?

Hi. Do all Post Offices change Euros to Pounds ?

  • Any post offices I've seen that do foreign currency have an electronic board which quotes the current buy and sell rates - so (in theory at least) you should be able to sell Euros back for Sterling.

    Our local travel agents- the Co-0p at least have a travel exchange bureau, not sure about Tui.
    I suspect for a PO you need a Crown office- not a sub office.
    Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!

    Why not go in and ask? Even if they don't hold euros they will be able to advise.

    Any post offices I've seen that do foreign currency have an electronic board which quotes the current buy and sell rates - so (in theory at least) you should be able to sell Euros back for Sterling.
    But don't believe the rates you see - at the bottom in tiny print it'll probably say something like "rate only applies to amounts over £500 and over" or something like that.
