How much memory does an iPad need?

Hi guys I’d like a bit of practical information. From a practical point how many GB do you really need for a tablet. In thinking of an iPad

The iPad is to replace an old iPad mini used almost exclusively for private use. It has crossed my mind to hold off until after Black Friday to see if there are any good deals to be had on refurbished 2017 models

I think it entirely depends on how you use tour IPad, I've got basic 32gb and have no need for any more I've got over 16gb free. But I don't play games or have many photos or videos stored on it, if you want to load lots games and photos you will need more.
