Requesting Santander Statements...

Hi all, bit of a different thread this.
In a couple of weeks, my Wife and I will be completing on a house purchase. To help make this happen, my Father will very kindly be gifting us a deposit from the proceeds of his house sale (completion on Friday).
Here's where it gets relevant..
In order to exchange contracts (currently set for the 3rd December), my solicitor requires a completion statement from my Father (already supplied), a bank statement from me (no problem - I use online banking, it's no issue) and a bank statement from Dad - statements need to show proceeds of Dad's sale and that he arranged the transfer.
Dad is averse to online banking and telephone banking. He feels his data isn't secure and just won't do it. The plan currently is to head into his local Santander branch to arrange the transfer and get a statement. Here's where it gets tricky - I know from experience that Santander are very funny about printing bank statements in branch, but without one we can't exchange.
Has anyone ever had luck with getting a statement in-branch at Santander? Could anyone advise?

When is his normal statement date? If it's between now and the exchange date, and the statement would arrive before that date, why not just do the transfer now and it'll appear on that statment?0

Ah, if only it were so simple - maybe I shouldn't have withheld that info!
Dad completes on his house sale on the 30th, we're planning on doing the transfer on the 1st and exchanging on the 3rd. His statement date is the 17th.0
