UC and nhs exemption

Just wondering, do you automatically get an nhs exemption card when you're on universal credit (if you're eligible) or it's something you need to apply separately?

If you need to apply separately, can please advise how?

No, there's no card sent out.

You should present a copy of your Universal Credit award notice to prove your entitlement. You'll need to have met the eligibility criteria in the last completed Universal Credit assessment period before your health costs arose.
