Penalty charge notice recieved

Hi,
Recieved a penalty charge notice yesterday afternoon.
It's a euro car parks letter

Do I just appeal on their website with the 'one for all template' in the newbie thread?
I want to make sure I'm doing it properly

Thanks

Yes - but it's not a penalty charge notice.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

  • Parking charge notice, my bad
I work nights and had just woken up

I visited the carpark before work and the signs aren't illuminated at all nor are they placed facing towards drivers, at the entrance or even near bays
Is that ground for appealing against bad signage too?
The night of the ticket (after 5pm so pretty dark) was also a very rainy night

They are also fairly high up with small font

    Please advise further,
    Regards

This is an entirely unregulated industry which is scamming the public with inflated claims for minor breaches of alleged contracts for alleged parking offences, aided and abetted by a handful of low-rent solicitors.

Parking Eye, CPM, Smart, and others have already been named and shamed in the House of Commons as have Gladstones Solicitors, and BW Legal, (these two law firms take hundreds of these cases to court each week, hospital car parks and residential complex tickets have been especially mentioned. They lose most of them, and have been reported to the regulatory authority by an M.P. for unprofessional conduct

The problem has become so widespread that MPs have agreed to enact a Bill to regulate these scammers. It has even been suggested that some of these companies have links with organised crime.

Watch the video of the Second Reading and committee stage in the House of Commons recently. MPs have a very low opinion of this industry.

and complain in the most robust terms to your MP. With a fair wind they will be out of business in the not too distant future.

Yes, at stage 2 (PoPLA), but not for the initial appeal. Re-read the NEWBIES when you are less affected by shift disorder. Been there, done that for 35 years, got the premium payment. ;)

  • Without being too specific,
I had parked in a restaurants carpark and forgot to put the number plate into the tablet
I have a bank transaction of purchasing at the establishment,
Is it worth appealing properly with that proof or continue with the one for all template?

Hahaha yeah nights are hard but the premium is there. Few more years for me and back to days :)

You can attach the proof of patronage but use the template, and only add a line about the attachment.
