Delay in Replacement Bank card(BOS/Halifax)

I had my bank card stolen and have been waiting for over 11 days for a replacement card. The bank advised me it should take 5 to 7 working days so i'm a bit worried now. Does anyone have any recent experience of how long it takes to get a replacement card through?

I have no idea but I would suggest ringing the bank and asking them to check if the card has been sent and where and when. Normally if it is stolen it maybe sent recorded delivery, have you had a card through the door?

Yep I went to the bank and according to them a new card was sent out on the day i originally phoned them up. Had to cancel the new card as it was sent out over 2 weeks ago. and i never received it. Phoned up later to doublecheck and I was told the lady in the branch had cancelled my card but not ordered a new one for me!!!

:eek: Now i'm waiting on a new one which is going to take 7 to 10 working days. I'm goin g to check with other banks and see how quickly they can issue me with a new account and bank account, it might be better switching banks for convenience sake.(as long as my bank card hasn't been stolen in the post!)
