Buyer says item not received, tracking says its been delivered how will ebay rule ?

So despite the tracking still showing the parcel as having been delivered, because the buyer is saying they haven't received it I've started the formal process with the collect+ to investigate (which could take 5 days). I told the buyer this and told them I'd refund if / when collect+ confirmed it as being lost. The buyer has opened a case of item not delivered.

Which is the correct way to deal with it.

Respond to the case with the tracking number. Seems your both dealing with it correctly.
