Buying Silver

Hi
Can anyone recommend where I can buy silver from? Someone said it's a great investment for the future and the price will eventually go up.
What should I be looking for when purchasing silver to make sure it's legit and what extra fees to look out for
Thanks

Yes its very sensible time to buy silver, for some of us, not all, what currency / country are you buying it in ? Are you looking to buy as jewellery, bullion or just hold it virtuallyThe greatest prediction of your future is your daily actions.0

A year ago 'someone said' on here that he was switching his pension fund to bitcoin. :exclamati:exclamati.
I';m not qualified to say whether silver would be a good investment or not but I'd spend a bit of time on developing a better investment starategy if I were you.

Yes definitely wouldn't recommend your lifetime savings, even with a 10-year low, of course it can, and at some point likely will go even lower.
January is often the best time for metals due to December losses, I'm watching if its dips below $14 before Jan I may be tempted, otherwise I'm waiting until the new year. You might want to look at he current gold:silver ratio and think about the trend of stocks of the companies that use large amounts of white metal in productionThe greatest prediction of your future is your daily actions.0 -

A couple of months ago I started using BullionVault to buy silver. It's easy to use and the fees aren't too bad.0

Be aware that you might have to pay VAT on silver (unlike gold, which is usually free of VAT).This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
