Caravan Club Visa Card

in Credit cards
I was wondering if anyone else is experiencing problems since the Caravan Club moved their credit card handling facilities from Frizzell to Goldfish.
I paid off my last bill from Frizzell to the tune of £850 pounds only to find the balance transferred to my new Goldfish account. Apparently I wasnt supposed to pay the bill for some reason. It would have been nice if thet had said so.
I contacted Goldfish who said I needed to contact Frizzell, who in turn said they dont have a record of the payment because the card account is closed. Now, if I phone Frizzell directly I get put through to Goldfish! My bank have a record of the payment (luckily) so I am sure it'll get sorted at some point but it is very annoying. I now have to stand out the £850 again to avoid paying interest on it to Goldfish.
The Caravan Club have asked Goldfish to look into it but I am very concerned this is going to end up with me having to go to the Banking ombudsman or something.
It sounds terrible, but I would feel better to know other people are in the same or similiar position. Any comments welcome.

Iave had a similar experience with my caravan club card. My statement da te was 26/9 and I paid this off in full. I then recd a further statement dated 28/9/07 showing the amount on 26/9/07 plus additional spending for 27/9 an 28/9 plus interest as my balance from the first statement had not reached them yet.
After ages on the phone to both Goldfish and Frizzell they agreed to refund the interest. I have now got my next statement dated 23/10 which shows my payment but no refund of interest from prev statement and no additional interest charged for October. I phoned again which took ages and was told that the interest had been credited on 26/10 so will appear on my next statement.
I am sure I must have now spent nearly the amount of the interest (£10.10 ) on phone calls0 -

You seem to be having more problems than me but I think the switch from Frizzell to Goldfish has been very badly handled. The information has been poor - I too have spent time on the phone sorting out who t pay and when.
I think the time has come to consider moving to a new card provider. I am also unclear as to how to redeem the points - seems we have to make another call at our expense. I think it is time to move on - maybe a cashback credit card!!!0
