Tap making very loud noise

I've just a new bathroom installed and the sink has been out of action for about 10 days. It was finally plumbed back in yesterday. I've just turned on the tap this morning and there's a very loud noise when the water is running, which sounds like lots of air coming through the tap along with the water. When the water is at a dribble speed it seems fine, and when it's on full pelt it's also fine - it's just the bit in the middle (i.e. the speed at which you'd want to run the water most of the time) where the noise occurs.
Could this just be air in the system because the pipe hasn't been used for 10 days, or is it another issue?
It's a similar type of tap to this model: https://www.wickes.co.uk/Wickes-Mirang-Lever-Basin-Mixer-Tap---Chrome/p/161652
If anyone has any tips on how I can fix it I'd be most grateful!

Just to add - the noise sounds kind of like a blowtorch, so pretty loud!0

Is the iso valve connected to the tap fully open, ceramic disc will make more noise than washered ones as the holes the water goes through are smallerI'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.
You get no BS from me & if I think you are wrong I WILL tell you.0
