Stupid question - dro end date
Options
Hi folks, I get this is silly but my DRO commenced on 1st Nov. Everything I've looked at said it's a year, but does that mean it'll end on 31st Oct or 1st Nov next year? It only matters because I have paperwork for a house exchange to put in and want to do it the day after it ends.

a year should be 31st October
why not be safe regardless and do it the 2nd November?0 -
Hi,
It should disappear from the register by 1st November, though bear in mind sometimes the moratorium period is extended.
I'd go with 2nd November as PP suggested.
also, it will stay on your credit file for the full 6 years.0 -
It will always be removed from the register 3 months after your DRO moratorium ended so would be 1st February 2020 before it comes off the Insolvency Register. But your DRO will end on 1st November 2019 and the register will show that it has completed, might take a few days but it's usually automatic.0

If you look at your entry on the register now, it will say
'Moratorium Period will end on 1 November 2019 '
and at the bottom:
The debtor’s Moratorium Period End Date is in accordance with Section 251H of The Insolvency Act 1986. As of this date the debtor will be discharged from the qualifying debts.0
