Here is another one, this time for 31 minutes

    https://parking-prankster.blogspot.com/2014/03/waiting-for-space-is-not-parking.html

    Now complain to your MP

This is an entirely unregulated industry which is scamming the public with inflated claims for minor breaches of alleged contracts for alleged parking offences, aided and abetted by a handful of low-rent solicitors.

Parking Eye, CPM, Smart, and others have already been named and shamed in the House of Commons as have Gladstones Solicitors, and BW Legal, (these two law firms take hundreds of these cases to court each week, hospital car parks and residential complex tickets have been especially mentioned. They lose most of them, and have been reported to the regulatory authority by an M.P. for unprofessional conduct

The problem has become so widespread that MPs have agreed to enact a Bill to regulate these scammers. It has even been suggested that some of these companies have links with organised crime.

Watch the video of the Second Reading and committee stage in the House of Commons recently. MPs have a very low opinion of this industry.

and complain in the most robust terms to your MP. With a fair wind they will be out of business by in the not too distant future.

may be useful to some others here..

specifically in regard to Motorway services overstays.
won on account of the judge agreeing with me that the signs state '2 hours free parking' and other time spent on the site, ie at the petrol station does not count as parking. and that their small print on the signs does not mention sufficiently clearly, or in any way that might normally be understood to mean more than the generally accepted term 'parking'

(going to try to get hold of the transcript of the judges decision for the exact wording on that.)

    Well done to you! :T

    Another one bites the dust!

We've been saying for years on here, in advice re appeals mainly, that Services include the petrol station, air and water as well as electric car points - and that sort of activity is NOT part of the mandatory period of parking & rest for a minimum of 2 hours' that the Government policy sets out.

A transcript costs money...but if you got your costs awarded, PLEASE do obtain one if you can afford it for the greater good, and come back and link the transcript here and email the Parking Prankster (who is busy and not currently active in blogging, but might still have time to host another transcript in his Case Law section, that would help others greatly!).
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
