joint IVA Double the fees
Hi
We are just about to sign off on out IVA however the agent has sent over two IVAS one for partner one for me.
they both have different charges for the IVA so I assume we are being charged twice to set it up. Is this the norm my charges are
Nominee fee: £1000
Disbursments; £1461.50
total supervisor fee: £1002
Partners
Nominee fee: £1000
Disbursments; £1439
total supervisor fee: £992.40
is this correct, just seems a lot of money to be paying for this service when both have total debts each of £28k and they have included some of the same debts on each of our creditors lists.
They are saying his payment is £133 mine is £131 a month. Total contribution for his is £7616 and mine is £7680.0
Any advice?

It makes no difference to your payment how much fees they take, it comes out of the creditors money so in effect they are paying the fees. Nom and Sup fees look standard. If they aren't happy with the fee level they will put a modification in capping it.
Disbursements looks high. These are costs such as postage, so I am thinking it may have some kind of IVA insurance included in it? Possibly not.
You have separate IVAs, although linked. Debts will be listed on both if they are joint debts as you are both liable.0 -
It makes no difference how much the fees are, they look pretty much par for the course to be honest, you just make your monthly payments, fees are deductible from the pot.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards.
