1st Utility Scam - Error or Genuine Mistake

Last week i helped a friend switch using Marti's Energy Club from Tonik to 1st Utility.
Great saving.... However she then had an email from 1st Utility saying that information was missing and she was asked to provide the info on clicking on a link and completing a form with reference to items highlighted in RED!
There were no items highlighted in RED and the form was asking her to re-apply for gas and electricity as a new customer at the end she was offered a number of plans to choose from.......
The plan that she was switching to was not listed and the plans on offer were a lot more expensive and restrictive than the one she agreed to switch too.
I phoned 1st Utility about the issue and after a good half hour they agreed to manually sign her up for the plan offered in the first place.
Has anybody else experienced this problem?
