Hi
Do you have to use the banks switching service, and close down your old account to qualify for the incentive/gift offered by the 'new' bank?
Thanks

Yes, I've never seen an incentive that did not require a full switch.Hi

If you want to keep your old account you could open a new donor/sacrificial account, then switch that.0 -
You need to check the terms of the offer concerned, but as above, chances are the answer will ultimately be 'yes'.0

Check the T&Cs of the offers you are interested in - most will necessitate the use of CASS, which will involve the closure of your old account.
As has been mentioned, if you don't want to close your account you could open up a second account with your main bank and switch that one instead. Make sure to set up the minimum DDs, etc before you do though!0
