Argos/Ebay Click & Collect Stolen?

Had an item from Ebay delivered to Argos for collecting however, before i arrived the seller had confirmation that the customer had signed for the item and took it, when i got to the store they said i had already collected it which was simply not true at all so i contacted Ebay who then launched an investigation.
They told me that a member of staff at Argos had signed for the item and had it themselves however there is nothing they can do because this staff member no longer works for the company.
After asking to see the signature they are now saying that the item just got lost, it seems like they are covering up the first story to me.
I am concerned at the idea of my signature being forged, but they have refunded me and closed the case.
Nobody is listening to me over this though and i would still like to seek justice, even the seller thinks i must have signed for the item, but i didn't!
:(
Enjoy everyday like it's your last!

As you have a refund, I would leave it to the seller to choose how they follow this up as they are the one that has suffered a loss...no payment and no goods

They did listen to you. You got your money back. What more can they do?

Sadly as you have your refund there is nothing else that can do. They are unlikely to get the item back. Unless the seller has another one you can purchase its a lost cause.

The seller will need to claim back his losses. These things happen.

No one forged your signature, they just wrote in a signature, which may as well have been an X for all the good it does at the point of collection.

The purpose of the signature is so you can prove it wasn't you who collected it after the fact, which isn't in doubt in this case.
