Battery monitor actual time left app

Options
Is there an app that will give me the amount of time left and not just a percentage for W10?

TIA

When I hover over the battery icon on my laptop (when not on mains power) the tooltip tells me both percentage and time remaining. No need for an app.

Same here. It may say 20% and then when hovering 1hr 10 minutes or similar. I think the time may alter dependent on recent use.

It certainly does, but it also gives a percentage of the charge.
An app could only do the same, it can't know how you're going to use.

The time will vary so much its wont be accurate at all.

Even moving the cursor will make a small difference in the time, clicking a file or a webpage can have a greater effect.

The time left is just a best guess, it can vary a LOT.

It may say 3 hours, but you open a few webpages and maybe watch a 2 minute youtube clip and that figure will drop much faster.

Accessing storage can also be a battery killer.

As a general rule if Windows can't give you a rough estimate of battery life when you hover over the icon it usually means one of two things: The battery is fully charged and needs to drain slightly to work out a charge time or its worn out and needs replacing (but usually by the time it gets to that point you'd need to use it constantly plugged in).
  • Also it will depend on screen brightness, audio output, usb usage etc. the best app is one that will estimate how long is a piece of string.:p

Hovering over my battery icon only tells me it's fully charged at 100%. However, if I drain it slightly it does give me a time. The app I found, BatteryBar, does give me a full run-time, percentage, capacity, charge rate, and battery wear.
