electoral roll

So recently been applying for mortgages with my girlfriend, we have now been accepted and going through all the stages..
However when L and C did my credit checks ect they where telling me I’m not on the electoral roll... which was very strange as I have voted since I was 18.. (I’m now 22)
Since getting this news I contacted my local authority (Birmingham City council) who have confirmed over the phone, via email and in writing that I am indeed on the electoral. So I decided to take this up with Equifax and the others however they are all shoving me off with irrelevant replies like “the system takes time to update new people that have registered” however this isn’t relevant to me as I’m not new to the register.
I’ve even double checked to make sure the address matches ect and it’s all spot on my side... I have also sent them all 11 evidence to prove that I am on the register as they asked for it however this is now affecting credit applications...well at least that what my mortage advisor said we get declined twice before getting our mortage accepted with Clydesdale... please help!

You need to wait for Equifax to update their record for you.
Have you checked your report yourself to confirm?0
