Hello all, long time lurker here.
Looking for some advice regarding village hotel's cancellation insurance, located here:

(New user so please change the x's,to t'sbin the http)
Very basically, my wife was hospitalised today and she is no longer fit for our overnight stay at the weekend.
I though the insurance may cover this, but this particular point has me concerned:
'your sole reason for not attending is due to another member of your group no longer being able to attend
for any reason;"
Does anyone know what this actually means?
For info: the booking is in my name, 2 people specified as staying.
Thanks all.

Sorry, I can't get your link to work (even after replacing the x's with t's and removing the space in the middle of it).
However, my reading of what you say is that if you were part of a group who had several rooms booked, your insurance wouldn't step in if one of the people in the other rooms s indisposed. Is your wife listed by name as the second person on the room booking ? If so then I'd expect the insurance to cover it - but why not just phone up the hotel / insurance company, explain the situation and ask ?0 -
Thanks for that. I'll give them a call asap, but thought perhaps being a little prepared prior to calling would be best.
Indeed what you mean, it seems to refer to a group booking.
Thanks.0
