Renting a Flat

Me and my sister live in UK for several years, at the beginning I lived with my friend and my sister with her friend, but now we want to rent a flat and live together for a while, but the problem is that I lost my job recently and currently I stay at home to get fully rested before finding a new one (I had no holidays for a very long time) and another problem is that I have no history of my previous landlord because I've lived in my friend's flat without any contract, but my sister meets all requirements, she has a job, good references from three last landlords etc. In this case is it possible for us to rent a flat together? Sorry for bad english (We are polish btw).
