ESA Income Based Review

I received a IBR3 form today and it says don’t fill the form in if you have saving over 16000. I’ve been on Benefit since 98 due to renal failure, I was placed in contribution due to me working for 14 years before this. I can’t fill the form in due to saving so what do I do as I’m stuck. I found on looking at the form very stressful and have heard if I ignore it my benefits will be stopped.

The form is trying to establish if you should have been given income based benefits back when they transferred you from incapacity benefit to ESA. If you had savings then that's fine, you shouldn't have got income based and nothing will change.
If you didn't have your savings then you might get a back payment of benefits owed.

Just fill it the form to the best of your knowledge.

If you have had savings over £16k for all the time you have been on ESA then you don't need to complete and return the form. You will continue to be entitled to Conts based ESA as you are now. If there has been a period when savings were below £16k and you have statements to prove it you may have entitlement to other benefits. If you don't complete the form you won't get any of that potential entitlement. You will not lose your current benefit if you don't return it.
