Ovo Energy Grief

Just had six months of grief with Ovo energy. Based on our correct usage from the previous supplier Ovo estimated monthly payments of £46.00. After some genius fitted a smart meter and submitted new and completely wrong readings, Ovo suggested the monthly payments should rise, through various calculations to a final figure of £180.00 per month. Their statement in April said our annual electricity usage should be £441.65. By August their estimate was £842.55. After some of the hottest months of the year. So we sent them money to bridge the supposed gap. Only after we thoroughly checked the figures and challenged Ovo did they discover their own !!!! up (an "error" to use their email word. I see my description has been "redacted"). Had we not checked they would still be holding our money. No alarms bells went off in Ovo because presumably nobody bothers to look at the figures, except the algorithm of course. No apology. Nothing except one of those stupid "how did we do today" surveys. Useless service.
