Hi guys,
There's a message on my mobile that I would like to transfer and keep. I am with Orange on a Pay As You Go and the automatic message says its only kept for 7 days which gives me until this Friday to figure out how to transfer it. Any suggestions?
Thanks.

Ummm cant you just type it out and save it in word or something
Well of course I would if it were only that simple. However, its an absolute corker of a conversation that needs saving in its present form as I was never meant to hear it in a million years. By saving the message, it will save me £7000!!!0 -
Corretto, I'm not technically minded at all, so when you say buy a sim card reader bundled with the software does the software come automatically with it or what else do I ask for? Thx.
Edit: I think you have already answered this question by giving me the link to Argos. Thanks!!0 -
Confused....
How would a SIM card reader help to get a message off Orange's voicemail system?
Voicemail messages aren't stored on the users phone...
My phone has a recording mode (Sony w850) - if i needed to do something like this (as i understand the OP), i'd call my voicemail, activate recording mode, which gets the message onto my phone, then i'd email the recording off my phone to my email account...
Alternatively, if the phone has a hands-free kit, i'd hook the hands-free up to a computers line-in socket, and record it straight onto a computer... use Sound Recorder (bundled with Windows) if you don't have anything better.0 -
As far as i know there isnt a way to transfer a voice mail message, the only thing i can think of is to try what the poster who posted before suggestedNo Links in Signature by site rules - MSE Forum Team 20

Sorry I thought it was clear that it is a voice mail message I desparately need to transfer before 12 noon on Friday. Does that mean I can't transfer it now? Please note I am not technically minded at all so I do need things spelling out.

Here's a couple of solutions....
Essential step: From your phone, call your voicemail and set up a PIN number so that you can access your voicemail from any phone.
Option 1:
Then find a friend with a decent Sony Ericsson phone - one which has the Recording function (others may have it too), and phone your phone from their phone, access your voicemail, enter your PIN, start recording.
The do one of the steps i mentioned previously - i.e. email it, or drop the memory card into a PC.
Option 2:
Visit here http://www.rectel.co.uk/
You can use their service, via an 0871 number, to call any other number. Simply call your voicemail, enter Pin, listen to the message. Rectel then have an electronic copy of the call
Burn it to a CD as audio, send it to your friends! LOL!0 -
Krysus: I only have one friend and it's no good asking her as she only knows how to make and receive phone calls....
So your other suggestion will be the one I will use. Thank you sooooo very much for your help and for spelling it out to me. I really really appreciate it. :beer:0
