found a ps3 for 329.99 plus there is a code on HDUK for a fiver off making it 324.99. cheapest i have found and know there were other peeps on look out too. hubby is getting too excited now! bless him dont think he will wait till xmas :rotfl:

Makro were doing the 60 gig version for £249 + VAT... Is that any good??? There were no games with it.

I read this this morning, will make interesting reading for anyone who's buying the PS3 over the XBOX 360 because of the past problems with the 360. Says that apparently 40% of the 40Gb PS3's are failing at a large retailer in Belgium, no proof as to elsewhere.

p.s. I own neither console and have no real preference, just passing on what I read, not trying to put down the PS3 as I'm a 360 'fanboy' or anything.

We just got the ps3 bundle today for £304 at Virgin/zavvi Southend. This was the bundle that included the 60gig version, extra controller and two free games listed at £350. As we have the Virgin credit card we got an extra 10% off the original price of all the individual bits, bringing it in at a great £304.

I saw the 40gb version at £299 with a free game today in my local 'GAME' store - is available online at this price but think the games in store were better.
