run an online scan from two of the below
Kaspersky
Nod 32
F -Secure
I would also install [URL="http://www.superantispyware.com/
"]Super AntiSpyware[/URL] - free version
Have you undertaken a credit check on yourself in relation to the fraud on your account?

I could have been logged at a shop using a sly swipe on a card reader, not necessarily the internet.0

yeah i realise it may not be the internet...id just like to be sure ive taken reasonble measure to be safe0

it is likely it is from somewhere else maybee a shop or petrol station. If you're worried using pc to input sensitive details then use the onscreen keyboard - it can't be tracked
start - progs - accessories - accessibility - on screen keyboardNudge nudge, Wink wink, Say No More!0 -

That appears to be a good idea on the face of it! I would point out you wouldn't need to use this for all details maybe just the password or user name?0 -
For a start, the problem may not be on your side, but the suppliers. A quick rule of thumb is that if the grouping of the delivery address and/or transaction is local, then it is something on your side. Else supplier issue, but they probably will not admit to it. So much stuff is done in India as it is only one thens if the cosy of the UK's labour cost.
If it was your side, they it could have been your pc. It could however be a friend, relative, spouse or a shop.
Shops are quite easy places to get credit card info, either via the shop assistant or you could be that person behind you making a phone call but instead taking a picture of your card.
If it is your pc and you want it to be secure, move away from windows especially for surfing. There are some good and fast alternatives - freeBSD and Linux, bsd being the most secure
The efficent way to hack windows is not to 'hack' windows, but to use what is already there. Trojans and spyware etc can all be detected. A much better way is to turn on, and in some cases configure existing default services as these are virtually undetectable. As a hacker there are loads to have fun with like telnet, ftp, webclient, com, netbios etc. This eventually couls allow total control to you system, to the point where if they wished, they could shut you out from your own system.
Besides the a/v one of my best bits of s/w is DuMeter - bandwidth monitor and provides a quick and easy visual display (also tells me if my isp is fooling around
). No surfing or stagnant web page should be little or no bandwith.
Personally I would look at which transactions use India for their services and move away from the most likely one - like bank or other multinational
GOOGLE it before you ask, you'll often save yourself a lot of time.

Winpatrol is a must on my system Also Avg Anti-routekit. I use Avast for my scanner. AVG Antispyware? I also use Spywareguard, Spywareblaster and Super-antispyware although I am sure one or two may be redundant... I also use Spyware Terminator but not too sure whether they have spyware affiliations or not...? I have disabled the live protection though.
Not sue about Windows own firewall but what about Comodo or Zonealarm?
As mentioned above I would suggest it was a petrol station or similar but I guess it is safest to assume the net is your culprit!0 -

Like many others I have a completely separate second account with a minimal amount in it.
It is used solely for anything online.
It acts as a fire wall.
I have a bill paying facility where I can pay (top up) my "internet" account from my main account over the phone or through the ATM.
P.s. not trying to be smug, sister was defrauded and she only used her card in local supermarket and v.v.occasionally cashpoint.Move along, nothing to see.0
