People who have accumulated say half a million probably have it for retirement. That might be worth as much as say 2.5% of capital if used to buy an annuity or 5% if using Guyton-Klinger dawdown rules. So maybe £12,000 or £25,000 in income terms. Climate change is the challenge of this generation. As well as reducing our carbon footprint via lifestyle changes, planting more trees is one way to help combat rising CO2 levels so I have sent mine off to The Woodland Trust
