Winter Fuel Payment - which charity?

Most of us old hands here on MSE, we're well past our SP age, that offer advice to the youngsters still working and building their pension pots get a Winter Fuel Payment of £200 each year.

Because we were all in FS pensions and we had it so good in the 70's - 10's we're all far better off than when we were working so we don't need a WFP.

So mine goes to charity, at Christmas I donate to mine to https://www.crisis.org.uk/ who do you donate yours to?

Merry Christmas everyone

Some of us come on to this site because we are interested in money saving and DO need a WFP. Good for you though.

I've always wondered why two people, hence two incomes, both get £200, so a total of £400, and one person with one income only gets the one £200.

It generally costs just the same to heat a home with two as with one. So I think the winter payment should be per household,.

Two people who live together and qualify get £100 each, so effectively £200 for the household.
Unless one or both are over 80.

It's already been mentioned but we don't get £200, I don't understand why you would think that!
