hi, what do you think is a reasonable amount, in pence per mile, to charge for delivering an ebay item i've sold?
i'm not looking for profit on it, and don't mind the driving etc., just to cover my expenses
what do you think is a pence-per-mile that would cover my costs?
thanks in advance

Depends on how much fuel your car guzzles and what the mileage is on a return journey?
If you have a rough idea what a full tank of fuel costs in you car and then know what mileage you can get out of it until its almost empty you can work out roughly what it drinks per mile.0 -
My OH gets 25p a mile expenses through work if he has to go anywhere. You'd have to double that to 50p though to include the return journey:j30/7/10:j

I'm paid 10p a mile to cover just the diesel fuel in my company car so as you have to take into account other associated motoring costs; I'd agree with durham girl that 25p a mile is a fair amount. Thats 25p a mile there and back.0
