in Loans
assisting a neighbour with mental health and financial problems , the company in question is provident credit
reason for claiming back interest is:
multiple roll over loans
person was on ESA , provident rep filled form in to say in full time work
rep wrote down that person had lived in property for 3 yrs + , he had lived there for less than one yr
what is standing out and hitting me in the face is his payment book , APR changes from 515% to 272% on different ones
on several of the loans , the book does not show (omitted) the APR , , the interest payable , just the total amount
so far we have made a complaint to provident and separately asked a SAR asking for details of all loans APR and interest charged .
provident are dragging there feet
regarding the payment book , he does not remember signing forms , if he did , then no copy was given to him , is it a requirement that the payment book should show cash advanced, interest charged , total , APR , number of weeks

When was the SAR put in ?
Maybe time for a complaint or the ombudsman.0 -
just short of 28 days , but they are being akward , even tho full name / address / ref number etc given they are asking for more info
its actually the legally of omitting to put all details on payment book0 -

I suspect your next step is to submit a complaint.0 -
yes it has already been mentioned to them , I have tried CAB and national debtline , but cannot get a reply , as to legality of omitting info , I need conformation before pursuing this avenue , and if relevant , complaint t who0

ok , more info has come to light , when the guy was down to £31 on his final loan , he found this on his credit report
he contacted his local office , but the manager spoke down to him and hung up the phone
he contacted provident directly , they covered up the fact that one of there agents had fraudulently taken a loan (money) in his name , stating it was a mistake
they palmed him off , stating they would close his accout and wipe off £31 still owing
this in itself shows that agents can and DO deaudulantly fill in and alter application forms and do not do due diligence checks , apart from muttering the mug will never know
wish I had known about it at the time0
