Why can you only book a holiday starting on Friday

Please can anyone advise why now, when booking a holiday it has to start on either a Friday or a Monday? I always used to be able to book a holiday from Saturday to Saturday.

i think it has more to do with offering short and longer breaks.
Haven for example offer:
Mon -Fri
Fri - Mon
Mon - Mon
Fri - Fri

So logistically there is more scope to rent rooms using this scheme.

Looking on the Haven website you can also do a Saturday to Saturday. Its down to the provider. But Fridays/Mondays are generally better as it gives providers options for full weeks and part weeks.


Also people tend to prefer to take Monday-Friday weeks off work which is one of the reasons mid-week flights are a lot cheaper.

What type of holidays are you booking?

We have booked many holidays on Expedia, Easyjet etc and we are able to book mid week to mid week.

Book stuff yourself, not a package deal, then you decide what day you want to go. You can still get ATOL protection if you book with the same company (eg.e xpedia)

if I let out sat to sat and couldn't sell the full week I would find it difficult to sell sat sun leave mon . mon to sat ?? always mon to fri . fri mon . works better for me
