I have just found a share certificate for 35 shares in Lastminute.com dated March 2000. Are they worth anything and if so how do I value them? Are they worth selling or will the trading cost be more than their value? Guidance please. Thanks.

Lastminute.com was aquired in 2005 for 165p per share by Sabre Holdings (link).
So your shares would have turned into £57.75 in cash.
I'm not sure how you'd go about claiming this 13 years after the acquisition - it's a small sum of money, but it depends on the amount of effort involved. You'd probably do it if it involved filling in a form and buying a stamp, probably not if it was going to consume days of your time.
Thoughts anyone on whether and how the cash can be got?0 -
