I have discovered an old share certificate for Interactive Investor International plc dated February 2000. I can find no trace of the company or what happened to them. NB This is not the similarly named Interactive Investor, the online trading and investment platform based in London.
I would like some guidance please. What happened to the company? Is the share certificate worthless or can I do something with it. I want concrete information please not opinions or guesses.
Thanks to anyone who can help.

I believe that it effectively is the current Interactive Investor in an earlier iteration - five years after being founded in 1995, Interactive Investor International plc was floated in February 2000 (hence the date on your shares) but was acquired by AMP the following year, as per this thread: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5208836/interactive-investor-international-plc-shares
You should have received payment from AMP at the time (are you sure you didn't?) but that thread suggests contacting Computershare for further info....0 -

Ah yes, iii started off as a discussion board in the dotcom boom era, then monetised the audience it had gained by turning into a brokerage.
It's memory lane today with this and lastminute.com
