hyundai i40 warranty Rubbish
I bought a Hyundai i40 car 3 years ago and Hyundai give you a 5 year or 100,000 warranty with the car
since I bought the car I've had 2 Batteries fitted a Petrol flap
2 full sets of lights & a wheel bearing all under warranty
Now the car is out of Warranty with a 102,000 miles but is only 3 years old, the paint has started to come of because one of the lights are rubbing against it
and the sunroof has started leaking
I contacted Hyundai but they are not interested in doing anything for me as i'm out of warranty is there anything I can do
the car cost £27,000 new

You bought a car with a 5yr/100k warranty, knowing you covered 30k+/year, and you're surprised that you've hit 100k before five years?
The light rubbing the paint is down to whoever fitted it last time, not the warranty. Sunroofs are designed to let some water past the seals - the tray should have drains in each corner. Are they blocked?0 -
Within living memory, car warranties were 12 months or 12,000 miles, whichever came first. Your warranty was for 100,000 miles, and you have done 102,000 miles. The warranty has expired. If someone is nice to you but rude to the waiter, they are not a nice person.0

£27,000 for a new car isn't a lot really.0

what about goods have to be of built of reasonable quality, with the faults this car has had do you think it has been0

After 100,000 miles, I would expect any car to be a bit frayed around the edges.
It's still running - just a few niggly things that need fixing. That happens on any car.If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.0 -
Appeal to Hyundai as it is only just over mileage.
I've just had a repair done and my car is 12 months put of warranty for the part which failed.
I contacted the HQ and as I had FDSH the manufacturer covered the cost.0 -
You've done the equivalent of 8 years worth of mileage and are complaining that the car isn't of reasonable quality due to some paint rubbing and a sunroof leak??!!!0

I'm not getting the "Hyundai warranty rubbish" reasoning - they fulfilled their obligations for the full 100,000 miles?0

Seem a quite a good warranty that.0
