    Moorcroft do not buy debts any longer, they will only be managing the debt for the Halifax.


    Halifax still pulls the strings here, ignore the moorcroft rep, simply tell them you will only be dealing with this matter in writing, do not get into conversation with them, or even answer the door, they get paid by results, no payment from you, no payment for them, make it clear your not paying them today, they will soon be off to the next punter.

    Write to them and come to an arrangement, even token payments of £1 a month (if that is all that's affordable) will keep them off your back, or, if truly unafordable tell them so, just be truthful, they must take affordability into account when dealing with you.
