Fidelity SIPP - What's the minimum investment per fund?

Hi
What's the minimum investment per fund you can invest from your cash account in your fidelity SIPP?
I know that the minimum 'cash' investment from a debit card to top up is £1000, and regular investments are £50 per month. But once the cash is sitting in your account waiting to be invested into a fund what's the minimum?
Thanks

It may depend on the fund manager although in practice minimum investment amounts don't seem to be enforced much nowadays. Have you tried asking Fidelity for the fund you are interested in?

Fidelity don't pass through Fund manager minimums (this means you can buy small quantities of Institutional class shares even though they might have £1M minimums. I guess this is down to economies of scale.)
I tried to find this in their paperwork but (like you?) couldn't. I've never bought tiny quantities myself directly. What I can say is Fidelity do pretty small transactions. For example, if you run out of cash and monthly fees are due I've seen them sell £1.67 or less. (There is obviously some sort of rounding though: sold price is always a bit larger than fees but only ever a pound or so. But it isn't whole numbers of shares). Another example: if you have automatic reinvestment enabled and get a small dividend on an income fund they will just buy the required fractions of a share.
As you know, there are no trading charges on funds, so these micro transactions on funds don't hurt.
The above is true for funds in SIPP, ISA and GIA. It is unlikely to be all true for shares, ETFs or ITs.
At the moment the SIPP system and ISA/GIA are not 100% the same (but are getting closer). If there are limits they may be different.0 -
I invest (well, the OH) in ITs, and they have a weird setup whereby my investment (lump or monthly money) purchases fractions of a share. I know this is 'normal' in the fund/OIEC world but, I honestly have no idea how they operate this or how they manage to do for ITs (which are traded in exactly the same way as stocks/shares).Reluctantpensioner wrote: »The above is true for funds in SIPP, ISA and GIA. Can they please get closer more quickly.Reluctantpensioner wrote: »At the moment the SIPP system and ISA/GIA are not 100% the same (but are getting closer).Personal Responsibility - Sad but True
